A shared threshold between home and school
A circular public building that gathers open and enclosed uses around a central courtyard for everyday encounters.
Third Place proposes a permeable common ground for everyday encounters beyond home and school. The circular plan keeps the courtyard visible and accessible instead of turning the building into a closed symbol.
Advice, café, workshop and learning spaces occupy different points around the courtyard. Open thresholds, canopies and a ring of trees produce changing possibilities for shade and use through the seasons.
