Çarşamba’s agricultural memory is not a theme to be represented; it is the primary input organising the building’s everyday work. The greenhouse, workshop, learning space and open courtyard form a route through stages of production rather than isolated programme pieces.
The courtyard as interface
The courtyard is more than a void. It draws visitors towards production, connects public ground-floor rooms and offers a shared threshold to uses moving at different speeds. Legibility is built around this common space instead of an added corridor.
Between ground and building
Landscape is not what remains after the building is placed. Greenhouse, cultivation areas, water and permeable surfaces belong to the programme. Production knowledge can therefore be followed on site rather than described inside a closed classroom.
